The Draft room.
This room was used as the selective service office for Clayton County.
The space was opened during World War II for the purpose of drafting young men to the military. The draft was discontinued
in 1973, and the room had not been used since that time until it was renovated into a guest suite in 2006.
The
room now has been reborn into a relaxing suite. Because of its history as the Selective Service office, the cozy and serene
suite is decorated in military motif. Pictures of soldiers and military memorabilia from various American wars adorn the walls
and window sills. If you wish to leave behind a picture or memorabilia to add to the room, please let us know. We will proudly
display your item.
